Joe Rogan signs a new deal with Spotify
Joe Rogan, the controversial podcast host, and Spotify have announced a new multi-year partnership arrangement. Rogan’s hugely popular show will soon be featured on rival platforms, including YouTube and Apple Podcasts.
Spotify published a statement on its business blog on Friday announcing the extension of their collaboration. Even before this multimillion-dollar agreement, “The Joe Rogan Experience” was available only on Spotify starting in 2020.
The new arrangement was projected to be worth up to $250 million during its multiyear period by The Wall Street Journal, which broke the news of the contracted for the first time on Friday. It quoted anonymous sources with knowledge of the situation. According to the publication, the agreement includes an agreement to share revenues based on ad sales as well as an upfront minimum guarantee.

The host’s racist remarks were condemned by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek in February 2022, but he added, “I do not believe that silencing Joe is the answer.”
